The Hong Kong Bird Watching Society was established in 1957 and became a BirdLife International Partner in 2013. HKBWS is a registered charitable institution in Hong Kong. The mission of HKBWS is “People and birds living in harmony as nature continues to thrive”. HKBWS promotes appreciation and protection of birds and their habitats through education, research, habitat management and conservation advocacy.
